* In April 2008, Allied Nevada completed
a cross-border public offering of 12,500,000 common shares
at a price of $5.25 CAD per share for aggregate proceeds of
$65,625,000 CAD. The Company also granted to the
underwriters an option for a period of thirty days following
the closing to purchase up to an additional 1,875,000 common
shares at the offering price, to cover over allotments, if
any. In April, this option was exercised and Allied Nevada
received the additional proceeds of $9,843,750 CAD.
Allied Nevada expects to utilize net
proceeds from the offering primarily to fund activities in
connection with its proposed reactivation of the Hycroft
Brimstone Open Pit Mine, oxide and sulfide exploration
activities on the Hycroft property, as well as additional
working capital and reclamation bonding in connection with
the reactivation program. |
